Privacy and confidentiality
When you deal with BOB, BOB is likely to collect and use some information about you. BOB explains below when and how BOB may collect and use your information. References to 'BOB’ in this clause mean Back Office Biz Pty Ltd (ABN 21 126 067 892).

Collection of information

BOB may collect your information:

  • to provide information about a product or service;

  • to consider your request for a product or service;

  • to provide you with a product or service;

  • to tell you about other products or services;

  • to assist in arrangements with other organisations (such as preferred suppliers) in relation to the promotion and provision of a product or service;

  • to perform administrative and operational tasks (including, for BOB: risk management, debt collection, staff training, and market or customer satisfaction research);

  • to prevent or investigate any fraud or crime (or a suspected fraud or crime); and

  • as required by relevant laws, regulations, Codes and external payment systems.

Aggregate Data

Aggregate Data or cookies is anonymous data that we use to analyse trends, administer the site, diagnose problems with our servers, track user's movement, gather broad demographic information for use and to help improve the quality of the web pages. It may be your domain name or your IP address, the browser you are using or the number of colours your screen allows for. None of this data is Personally Identifiable nor connected in any way with Personally Identifiable Data.

Absence of relevant information

If you do not provide some or all of the information requested, BOB may be unable to provide you with a product or service.

Providing your information to others

BOB may provide your information to:

  • BOB Personnel only in the execution of their duties relating to your BOB application

  • any outsourced service provider to BOB (for example mailing houses or debt collection agencies);

  • an alliance partner for the purpose of promoting or using its products or services (and any of its outsourced service providers);

  • regulatory bodies, government agencies, law enforcement bodies and courts;

  • other parties BOB is authorised or required by law to disclose information to;

  • participants in the payments system such as banks and credit card companies;

  • insurers and reinsurers;

  • any person who introduces you to BOB;

  • your referee(s);

  • your representative (for example your lawyer, mortgage broker, attorney or executor).

Accessing your personal information held by BOB

Subject to the provisions of the Privacy Act, you may access your personal information at any time by asking to do so by calling 1300 275 262. BOB may charge you a reasonable fee for access. If you can show that information about you is not accurate, complete and up to date, BOB must take reasonable steps to ensure it is accurate, complete and up to date.


Personal information

The use and disclosure of your personal information applies to any personal information collected by BOB in the course of your relationship with BOB.

Where you supply BOB with information about someone else

If you give BOB information about someone else, please show them a copy of this clause so that they may understand the manner in which their information may be used or shared by BOB.
